Day 103: shifting through the sands of time

12 Apr

This weekend I crawled on the couch and plopped myself in front of the TV to watch OWN’s Super Soul Sunday.  It’s quickly becoming my go-to-spot on Sunday mornings.

This past weekend, I watched the film, THE SHIFT, from Dr. Wayne Dyer.

The movie (and book) are about how to make the move from ambition to meaning.

From Dr. Dyer’s website:

The Shift doesn’t mean that we lose our drive and ambition; it signifies that we become ambitious about something new.

And, by new, he means something meaningful or bigger than the EGO.

I have noticed a SHIFT in myself lately.
Sure, it has a lot to do with shifting my purchasing habits away from clothes and shoes for 365 days, and instead investing in the realm of the head, heart, body and soul.

But, it’s even greater than that.
It’s deeper. It is, indeed, more meaningful.

It could be the acupuncture and cranial sacral work, or even my moments of yoga bliss.

It could be from my interactions and learnings from Abraham-Hicks.

It could be a late-thirties mid-life phenomenon.

It could also be from watching life transform, minute by minute, through Brady’s big, puppy dog eyes.

It could also be due to my taxes.
I am, admittedly, in a Turbo Tax stupor.

Regardless of where, how, or what has caused this SHIFT to happen, I must admit…
I am shifting.

From Worry Wart to Wondering Mind.
From  Mindless to Meaningful.

And, it’s causing the world to seem so much smaller, attainable, and delicious.
It makes me realize that now, more than ever, you (we!) can do anything.

I know I have said it before, but I really believe that we can.

As long as it is meaningful.
And, it comes from the heart.

Especially if it comes from the heart.

And, that makes me wonder…

Where are you shifting?
Where do you want to shift?

We make a commitment to living a life based on experiencing meaning and feeling purposeful, rather than a life based on never-ending demands and false promises that are the trademark of the ego’s agenda. ~Dr. Wayne Dyer
