I believe in the power of everyday — of each and every day.
All 365 of them (or 366 this year, but who’s counting?)
And, really, what else do we have?
Today, I had a great conversation with a friend (and fellow Women on Fire member!) Heike Vogel.
Heike had the distinct pleasure of attending Oprah’s Lifeclass in New York City earlier this month and she gave me the complete scoop du jour. I applied for tickets and did not receive the calling for this… but, hey, the next best thing is having a friend who DID!
Heike not only listened to Deepak Chopra, but also Tony Robbins — all in one day — can you imagine? Divine.
What Heike shared with me, makes so much sense and adds to my FEAR FILES.
Tony Robbins said that we actually don’t want to become fearless — because fear helps us, it has a purpose.
His advice was to go to a place where you have COURAGE to move beyond the fear.
And, just what is the recipe for THAT?
I don’t know …yet.
But, I will say this:
I have lots of ideas.
One of which came from Heike herself.
She shared a 5-5-5 rule that she implemented into her own life.
Which includes:
- 5 minutes of reading
- 5 minutes of journaling
- 5 minutes of meditation
Every morning.
This, she learned from August Gold, and I think it is brilliant.
The other point Tony Robbins shared (and Hieke imparted to me) is this:
We need to do what moves us forward — and take massive action.
I suppose that is always the answer, taking action.
And, I’m pretty sure that is also where courage comes in to play.
Everyday.
All 365 (or 366) of them.
P.S. You can watch the Oprah with Tony Robbins Lifeclass at this link — and that’s where I am going — right now!
