When I first reconnected with Justin (who was my high school boyfriend – which is a long, good story!) he told me that he had one, absolute, must, will-not-cave-request about our relationship.
Sunday is for football.
Not that I didn’t believe him. Not that I didn’t think he was serious. Not that I questioned his faith in his dear New England Patriots, but…
He was serious.
Sunday is for football.
So have spent the last few years watching this man who I love, watch the team that he is passionate for… I mean PASSIONATE.
He has the hats, the shirts, the slippers, the tattoo — all for the New England Patriots.
He is a fan.
He is devoted.
He is passionate.
Through thick and thin.
Good and bad.
Loss and win.
It reminds me about what so many people say is the secret to success — passion. Stick-to-it-ness. Devotion. Faith.
Never. Giving. Up.
So today my gift is to Justin and his family — I am getting my blog done before the BIG GAME. I promise not to have my nose in the computer with the Pats on TV.
Because Sunday is for football.
More tomorrow.
Lovemore,
Jamie

Jamie, love your blog! My passion is my family. There is nothing that compares with my time with my husband and my son.
But a question for you to think about in future posts on your blog. Your theme this year is abundance. What happens if one’s passion is one’s work? And let’s say that one’s passion in one’s work does not bring abundance for reasons of a poor economy or a rotten boss. What is your answer to those circumstances, when abundance is not obtained because there’s no ability for recognition?
Such a GREAT question. I am so glad you posted this here. And I WILL explore this over this year of ABUNDANCE. I think the answer will be interesting and thought provoking and possibly debatable… but we will find out together. Thanks for being here! More to come. Love that you are here with me. xo~Jamie
Jamie: Maybe a side trip to Trinity Church some Sunday? AS, next, 11:15, Before the Big Game? Not to compete with Football…
Yes, of course! I will email you. Let’s make a plan! xo~Jamie
