I’ve been watching the weather report all day.
Along with everyone else in the Northeast bracing for Winter Storm Nemo.
Nemo looks to be a doozy!
But you wouldn’t know it from the ocean today.
From the crack of the very first ray of sunlight, it’s been a beautiful day.
Even the mid afternoon sunlight was crisp, clear, and warm.
In fact the water receded so much at low tide that it uncovered all these hidden rocks.
It has been the CALM before the storm around here.
So we prepared as best we can. Which means we basically:
- made two trips to the grocery store
- discussed storm details with neighbors
- watched TV waiting for the weather report
- emailed our families
- bought more water
- prayed
All this preparation and worry reminds me how much we are not in control of everything (and how hard that is to swallow!).
It also reminds me about how much we ARE in control of too.
Like our dreams. And what we do about making them come true.
More tomorrow (from the center of the storm!).
Lovemore,
Jamie

Scary – - but we’ve had a lot of warning and we have a lot of help and good will – not to mention all those chores and tasks we put off while we went outside….and the storm may not last long, but the snow may linger on.
Thinking of you all on the coast in Scituate – take care!
