Day 309: someone has to lose and win

6 Nov

After all the hubbub and money has been spent – someone has to win and someone has to lose.

Tonight I hold on to the hope that this election isn’t just a competition. My hope is it is just a stepping stone for all of us to move forward no matter what “side” we are on, or thought we were on, or wish we were on.

After all, isn’t declaring sides and differences what gets us into trouble in the first place?

No matter the healthy debates, the not so healthy debates, and the all debated out…

I wish to think that there’s more here than just a competition.

I’d like to think it is more like
one nation,
under god,
indivisible
with liberty
and justice
For All

I know…
A lofty idea.
