BLOG – GIFT DAY 129 :: 21-day spring clean: talk to strangers

9 May

You’ve made it through the Spring Clean.
The Spring Clean wasn’t a cleanse or an excuse to scrub the floors. It was more of a daily nod to what’s important.
Take today, for instance.
I made a new friend because he wasn’t afraid of walking up to me and introducing himself.
He just waltzed right into my acupuncture appointment room and looked me straight in the eye. He didn’t even have an appointment!

Meet Teddy.
Over 160 pounds of unfaltering love.

And the reason behind our tip of the day — the finale of sorts, of the Spring Clean.
Spring Clean Tip #21: Talk To Strangers
Seeing big, hairy Teddy saunter unannounced into the acupuncture room today made me smile, and remember something very important.You can’t make new friends without going to new places.Meaning, sometimes you have to go outside of your comfort zone and walk right up to someone you don’t know, outstretch your paw and give a friendly smile.
Of course it doesn’t hurt to get all comfy and stretch out on the ground too. Maybe roll on your back, expose your belly, and pant a little bit — your choice.Regardless, Teddy reminded me of a very valuable lesson today.Some strangers are just friends you haven’t made yet.
Somebody’s got to outstretch the first paw.

I’m glad you have outstretched yours to me.

More tomorrow,

Lovemore (fearless),
{Introduce yourself to a good stranger… I dare you.}

    Wherever you go, make a friend. Or, make a friend wherever you go.
