BLOG – GIFT DAY 145 :: 30 days of love: a prayer

25 May

It’s DAY 15 over here of the 30 Days of Love. We’ve already had two yummy recipes and a week-long Giveaway, some treats, a sneeze, some wise words to the Class of 2013, some news, a Pop Quiz, 3 things I love, a biopsy, a call to say what you need to say, and now…

A prayer.

A friend reminded me of something her mother always says:

“If you pray there is no need to worry.
If you worry there is no need to pray.”

I took it to heart. Especially over these past few days in between hospital appointments and preparing for a cross country move.

And you know what… she is so right.

Instead of worrying about where we are going to live, I have been praying for us to find a wonderful house, neighborhood, neighbors, and town.

Instead of worrying about my diagnosis and medical proceedures, I have been praying for good health.

In the middle of all of this I had an epiphany.

Oh, my God, this is what a rocket of desire is all about!

I have been following Abraham-Hicks for a bit now and, admittedly  I don’t always keep up with the advice. But in the middle of all my prayers for good things this week, I finally GOT it.

We aren’t just what we eat.
We are what we THINK.

And moving worry into a prayer for what we truly want, even in the middle of a boat load of uncertainty, is like shooting off a rocket of desire.

Aha. Moment. For. Me.

Not that I haven’t always believed in the power of positive thinking, I just found myself in the middle of truly changing my thoughts this week. From worry to wonder. From stress to sweet dreams.

I highly recommend it.

More tomorrow.
Lovemore {fearless}

{What are you thinking about?}
