2014 BLOG – DAY 40 :: how long does it take?

I was taught that it takes 21 days to develop, create or break a habit.
I’ve since read that it can take as little as 18 seconds to change your mind.

And why wait three weeks if it can happen at lightning speed I ask?

The research seems to be muddled.

In real life, I know I made a promise to write this blog and kept it. Not every single day has been pretty, but it has habitually happened.

Amazingly, I also gave up coffee for over a year (and then started drinking it again on a weeklong trip in the Grand Canyon!).

Today I was pleasantly up and raring to go at 6:30am. But I have been known to sleep in incredibly late too.

I know this to be true: habits are what lead to peak performance. Need more ideas? Here are some good resources for habit-forming habits.
