JAMIE’S BLOG – DAY 201 :: follow your bliss

26 Jul
I started this year with a promise — a commitment really — to follow my bliss.
It’s based on the famous Joseph Campbell quote:

“Follow your bliss.
If you do follow your bliss,
you put yourself on a kind of track
that has been there all the while waiting for you,
and the life you ought to be living
is the one you are living.
When you can see that,
you begin to meet people
who are in the field of your bliss,
and they open the doors to you.
I say, follow your bliss and don’t be afraid,
and doors will open
where you didn’t know they were going to be.
If you follow your bliss,
doors will open for you that wouldn’t have opened for anyone else.”

― Joseph Campbell

The more I’m following the IDEA of bliss, really uncovering it like research project, I’m finding the same messages pop up over and over again. Love. Beauty. Family. Friends. Play. Appreciate. Receive. Give. Repeat.

But today! TODAY I had a total brain opening aha moment.
Following your bliss is making choices that EXPAND you.

The more choices that we make that EXPAND us the more bliss there is behind every choice that we make (and that expands us). And on to the next choice. And more expansion. And more choices.

It’s all about expansion.

What is expansion?
That which brings …Loving moments. Beautiful moments. Family moments. Friendship moments. Playful moments. Appreciative moments. Receiving moments. Giving moments.

How do we expand that?
Make more choices.
And repeat.

More tomorrow.
  {making choices?}
