So cool.
It’s after 9pm and the sun is still out. The air is warm. The breeze is calm. It’s a perfect summer night. And it’s not even summer yet – not officially.
It reminds me of being a little girl, trying to sleep on a school night when it felt like a summer night. Listening to the birds sing in the twilight and the adults still sitting outside, talking as if it were summer.
It’s hard to sleep when the sun still shines. But kindness seems to grow stronger in the sunshine, the warm summer sunshine.
“Kindness is the sunshine in which virtue grows.” – Robert Green Ingersoll
Here’s to long summer nights, and enjoying their kindness while they are here.
More tomorrow….
