Pleasure.
I found this article tonight:
How Kindness Became Our Forbidden Pleasure
One quote caught my attention:
In giving up on kindness — and especially our own acts of kindness — we deprive ourselves of a pleasure that is fundamental to our sense of well-being.
Art by Jean-Pierre Weill from The Well of Being
One point made in the article is that kindness requires a sense of vulnerability. And open-heartedness. The proliferation of the internet with anonymous comments, posts, and tweets has given rise to the age of snarkiness. And that works against kindness — and our well-being.
Well being.
Are those the magic words to open the door of kindness — for you, for me, for everyone?
If you read the article… I would love to know what do you think.
With an open heart.
More tomorrow….
Lovemore,
Jamie
