In my nightly quest to watch fluffy, lighthearted and feel-good TV before I go to bed I find myself in the Hart of Dixie. I can’t handle horror movies and thrillers leave me too anxious to sleep, so fluffy romantic comedies are the only ones that make the grade.
Just like I can’t stand to watch horror movies, Justin can’t stand to watch Hart of Dixie. He walks into the room with a deep sigh of frustration and says, “You’re watching that again?”
Shakespeare would also be disappointed, but for me, it’s pure fluff and fun. And in some odd way, it brings me joy.
The other night, after watching my fill of Dixie I went to sleep and had a dream. In it, my mother came to me and whispered some advice in my ear. She said, “The clearest one wins.”
I’ve been thinking about that statement for days now. And every day it brings me more insight. It was a message from the heart.
In this year of Joy, I’m learning that one person’s joy may not be shared by another. And maybe that’s the point.
Afterall, the clearest one wins.
More tomorrow…
Lovemore,
Jamie
