Change is not always easy. Usually, if you are human, it is the hardest transition to make. So today, when I walked myself over to the gym to do a little spring workout I could feel the change going on inside of me.
So, of course, I avoided it by procrastinating. Instead of walking to the gym I walked to the local labyrinth. The maze-like path that sits at the top of the hill of a local park is usually open with no one else there to compete for steps within it. Today I was the only one there as well, as if it were waiting for me.
I took my steps slowly, walking up and around and back and forth until finally making my way to the middle. It’s quiet in the middle. It’s serene. It’s whole and complete. It’s where I find my best thoughts. Such as… “Why don’t I do this more often?”
Good question. Being in the middle of the labyrinth reminded me that joy is a step by step process bringing you closer to your joy one day, one moment and one dream at a time.

And that is what changes the future…one moment, one breath, one action at a time. Step by step.
What is joy teaching you?
More tomorrow…
