Tonight we celebrate the marriage of Andy and Courtney. It’s been a day of blood, sweat and tears.
The blood is for family and the beauty of reunion. The hugs the stories the memories all wrapped into a moment that will become more folklore for generations to come.
The sweat is from the hot Maine summer sun beating down on us as we awaited the lovely couple’s entrance and nuptials while fanning our faces with the program. It was a blessing that the sky was blue and the sun was out. It was a perfect day for the perfect couple with all the heat that comes with it.
And then there were the tears. From the moment the bride came into view, to the heartfelt vows shared, to remembering those who couldn’t be with us on this very important day, to the speeches, the toasts, and the first dance.
And then… there was the dancing. From littles to bigs, from young to old, there was the shared vibration of music, love and laughter.
It was a good reminder to live, love, laugh and dance.
There is joy in dancing. On any day. At any age. But especially at weddings.
