Today I missed my hot yoga class. Actually, I slept through it.
So I did the next best thing: sat in the infrared sauna to sweat it out. And, sweat I did. The sauna made me so hot I could barely sit inside it for the 30 minutes. Even though I wanted to be there. It brought me so much joy to think about all the sweat my body was releasing, along with toxins and other gunk.
As the website said:
“Infrared saunas are said to have pain relieving, detoxifying, and even weight loss benefits! Saunas are also known to help with chronic fatigue, seasonal mood disorder, stress relief, and sinus infections.”
Joy (and the sauna) are teaching me to allow… to just sit and allow.
Sometimes it is easy, other times it makes you sweat.
