Joy is saying hello because saying goodbye is too hard.
I am on my way to Boston, on to our next adventure, and my heart’s journey. This is what joy is bringing up and teaching me, to look forward and not look back.
Three years ago, I followed my bliss and it led us to Washington. And now, joy calls. You would think joy and bliss would be the same thing, or very, very close to it. It turns out, they live on different coasts. My bliss lives in Washington but my joy is calling me back to Boston.
It’s a return to the heart in so many ways. The truth is (and I know this after living in a myriad of different places) that “home” is a place that lives inside of us, inside our heart. But our heart’s desire sometimes needs us, in fact requires us, to go on a journey.
Joy is a matter of the heart.
My heart is grateful to all that Washington brought us. The family, the food, the fun. A little piece of us will always be in Washington too, the final resting place for our dear Pup after seventeen years of being man’s best friend. He will not be with us on this next journey but he will always be in our hearts.
And now, the future is calling us forward. On to new adventures!!
Goodbye, for now, Left Coast.
