Today was the official Facebook back-to-school photo montage. And, I have to say, I love it. I’m not so sure the nation’s youth will appreciate all of their first day of school photos being recorded for time and eternity though. I know I am not so proud of a few school photos of my own, mostly the years with big, thick glasses.
But, oh, the first day of school! SO many memories, so many new beginnings, so many adventures ahead. These are the landmarks that escape adulthood. Maybe that’s why it’s so fun to see the photos on Facebook, as it marks the official start of Fall and all that comes tumbling after.
Joy is the first day of school, even when you’re not a kid.
