Saying goodbye to summer is such sweet sorrow. Knowing that fall is just around the corner and the holidays soon after. Football Sundays kick of the transition between warm and cold, summer sun and fall leaves, beach days and beer cheers.
One of the things we look forward to experiencing again by moving back to New England is the seasons. Going from hot to crisp to warm again. Apple pickings, leaf peeping, snow skiing, and the beachy breeze, in that order, and then repeat.
A Fall Football Sunday is just the kickoff. A demarcation. An announcement that the seasons are changing and there is more adventure ahead. What joy.
