JAMIE’S BLOG – YEAR 8 – DAY 258 :: joy is lincoln logs

20 Sep

{play}

Tonight I did something I haven’t done in decades: I built a log cabin with my own two hands — and Lincoln Logs. It was pure joy! I can still remember placing logs together with my little fingers in the playroom when I was so young. The little logs and the flat green slatted roof brought me so much joy then… and apparently now too.

It’s amazing how much joy can come from building something. Even if it is made up of tiny little wooden logs that fall apart as soon as you finish. Joy may be fleeting but memories can last a lifetime.

More tomorrow… Lovemore,
Jamie
