It’s a big day around here. We bought Brady a new dog bed. Which means we threw out the old one. It’s bittersweet. Throwing away the old bed means throwing out the last vestige of our dear Pup. But replacing it with a new one brings Brady joy – his own bed and it’s even bigger!
Sometimes I think joy is really about knowing the difference between two ends of a spectrum. In this case, it’s between memories and moving on, old beds and new beds, and of course, old smells and new smells.
Joy is seeing both ends at the same time and staying totally present to the love both hold.
Here’s to new smells!
