{Dunkin’}
Ah, Monday! You surprised me again this week. Just when I think all is well and ready to go I ended up driving through the Dunkin’ Donuts drive-through twice. I blame joy. That’s right, JOY.
The line was very long this morning as I waited my turn to order at the drive-through. When I finally made it up to the speaker system the attendant asked if I wanted to donate to JOY. Of course, I said yes, then ordered my chai tea and pumpkin donut. When I pulled up to the window I was so overjoyed to sign my name on a little piece of JOY paper proclaiming to the world that I had given to the Joy Foundation that I drove away. Without my tea or donut.
I made it three feet forward when I realized I had no tea in my hands but it was too late. The very long line of cars pulled forward automatically. So I was forced to line up again at the end of the line. What a way to start a Monday morning. When I finally made it back up to the window the attendant had a good laugh and my tea waiting for me too.
Apparently, joy is so wonderful, sometimes, we have to do it twice!
