Okay, okay, so maybe going to the dentist isn’t very joyful. But today, I was overjoyed to see my dentist in Boston. Especially since the last dentist I went to on the west coast said I needed 10,000 dollars worth of dental work. I was overjoyed to hear that was NOT the recommendation from my Boston dentist.
Just a cavity and a filling that fell out. Of course, he scolded me for not coming in sooner to have the cavity fixed but I’m glad I listened to my gut instincts and not the west coast dentist who wanted to put caps on all my front teeth.
Sometimes joy feels so much more joyful when you are on the other side of pain or frustration. And sometimes going to the dentist is surprisingly a joyride.
And that is something to smile about.
