I’m learning that things in life are so much easier when I trust the adventure… instead of trying to control the outcome. Maybe that’s part of what trust is teaching me this year, to relax.
It should be easy, right? And most of the time it is. But the discipline of trust is asking me to sharpen my relaxation skills and hone the power of patience and trust. Maybe those are two sides of the same coin = patience and trust.
Even when I thought I was pretty good at patience… there is always another level to master.
It’s like yoga, really. You first learn a few poses and think you are good at it. Then you find out there are ways to enhance your pose and take it the next level or hold it longer or stretch further – so you do. But then a new teacher shows you more moves, more poses, more balances and more… more… more…
I have a sneaking suspicion that Trust is taking me down that road and it is my job to relax and enjoy the adventure.
Trust me!
