Ah, Monday! The best thing I have to say to you is, thank you. Thank you for the chance to start over, to begin again, to look at the world (and all my work, responsibilities, commitments, plans, goals, dreams, promises) with new eyes.
You do this to me every week. Every seven days. You pop up and remind me that I am starting over, with a jolt, or wake up call, to say the weekend is fleeting. That IKEA project is still looming, those papers are still sitting and those meetings are still waiting for me.
But seriously, thank you. I mean it from the bottom of my heart, Monday. Every week needs a restart button. A space and moment in time to get a fresh perspective before returning to the desk/chair/seat/car/path where I have been, and Monday, you always deliver.
Monday, you seriously get a bad reputation. But I have to say, you are always at the beginning, the starting point of something great. A reoccurring new beginning and a chance to start over even if it is for a brief moment organizing my desk and my brain and my week.
So… thank you. I mean it.
