Speaking of trust, tonight I want to share a little story about trust and a pair of sunglasses. I wore them tonight to a Red Sox game but I almost lost them. Well, to be exact, I left them on Grand Cayman island.
I left them in a very safe place, the safe in my hotel room. Somehow I pulled out my wallet and passport but not the sunglasses. Luckily I still had coworkers on the island when I realized my snafu the next day. And luckier than that, the sunglasses were still in the safe in my room that I had left 24 hours before. And luckiest of all, my coworkers were able to bring them home to me a few days later.
Someone once told me that all is already lost and everything is already broken. We are just bits of matter glued together so therefore things can never be broken or lost because they already are. That’s a really long way to say trust the universe to bring you what you need.
Including your sunglasses.
