{trust}
We had a little date night tonight and a flashback to a date night from nine years ago watching The Lemonheads on the Vineyard. Tonight we were in Boston at Paradise Rock Club instead of in the middle of an island but the music was just as fun.
It came with a lesson in trust too. As the concert started the guy next to us took a photo of the set list that was taped to the stage floor. We looked it over and I scanned it for the one song that I wanted to hear, Outdoor Type. It wasn’t there which was a bit disappointing.
I turned to Justin and frowned, “Well, I guess they won’t be playing it tonight.”
He replied, “You never know, he might play it during the solo portion. They don’t need a set list for the solos. Keep the faith.”
I wrinkled my nose and said, “You mean trust?”
It has become an inside joke around here just as much as it is my theme of the year. Turns out I had nothing to worry about because Evan Dando did play Outdoor Type (during the solo portion) and I recorded it on my phone (along with 200 other people).

This might just be a story about a song on a date night, in the middle of Paradise, but the point is, sometimes I give up too soon instead of waiting and trusting and believing.
Trust me!
More tomorrow.
