We drove by the old Scituate beach house today and ate harborside for dinner in one of our old haunts. While looking out over the ocean I was struck with the audacity and what a bold move it was for us to move so close to the coast and live on top of pylons overlooking the waves of the ocean.
It has been years ago now, and many moves later we find ourselves two towns over from that past oceanside adventure. It was the place that changed the trajectory of our lives, surviving winter on the ocean and few big storms by evacuating inland.
After that adventure, we would have many more in our future including moving across the country and then back again. But the beginning of all our adventures was making a bold move to the Vineyard together.
Tonight as I reflected on that water view in front of me that was the view of my past, I thought about the power of making bold moves.
Being bold leads to brilliant adventures but first, you have to trust.
Trust me!
