This year of trust is giving me new perspectives in so many ways. It’s funny how focusing on something, even a word like Trust, brings clarity. It also brings experiences that lineup and deliver on the word.
Case in point, today we left all of our belongings and allowed a bunch of strangers to walk through our townhouse without any supervision. Except for a realtor, of course. It’s a massive test of trust. We removed the important things like jewelry and precious collectibles, but it’s hard to remove everything that is meaningful when you have no other place to put it yet.
We enjoyed a nice drive along the shore while hoping everything would be in its place when we returned. It was.
Trust is a noun and a verb. It is also a state of being. One that makes you breathe deeply and let go. So far this year, I am learning that letting go is not giving up and trusting is not rolling over. Rather, it is finding the beauty and the beginnings in each moment.
When you trust, you do not see the end. You create the beginning.
So, here’s to beautiful beginnings!
