I watched the news for the first time in a long time the other night. I was bored and tired, and just looking to unplug so I turned on the TV. That was a mistake. Wow! It was a massive mistake.
In our world of social media deluge and delusion, the seven o’clock news may be the worst offender. It’s hard enough to see the perfection in everybody else’s life around you on Instagram, but it’s even worse to see the horror down the street on the nightly news.
It has me wondering where we find respite these days.
It also has me thinking about how important it is to find something beautiful, something simple and something good to celebrate. And maybe something to sing about.
