Trust has me thinking about change tonight. As the seasons change outside my window and the leaves begin to take on brighter colors, I too am thinking about the ways we show our brilliance. Maybe it just means taking a chance.
And there’s only one letter difference between change and chance. Maybe there’s a reason for that!

It was a beautiful fall day today with a light breeze. Even though it was hot outside the breeze made it comfortable. It got me thinking about trusting the direction the wind blows. The wind at our backs and the wind that blows us in new directions.
Stand tall against the wind but trust the direction it blows.

It’s Friday night and I am home sweet home, sitting on the couch watching movies and feeling the sense of rest and relief that only a Friday night can bring. I love traveling and adventure but I also love home. I love the candles lit on my fireplace throwing the light of comfort on the walls. I love the snuggling puppy at my side circled up under a fuzzy blanket.
Just after my movie finished another popped up on the screen, one called Idaho. It’s ironically the first place I called home. As I watch the beautiful scenes from the state where I grew up I find it refreshing that it feels just as familiar as the state where I now live.
We have actually lived in so many states over the years that it’s hard to know which place is really our home. We have moved six times in ten years but each place has held a thread of us. Weave them all together and we have a blanket called home.
I think that’s because home is not really a place, it’s rather a feeling The one inside of you that feels like trust. So here’s to snuggling up at home on a Friday night. The best kind of way to end a week.

Just a little nod to the future tonight.
Sometimes it is hard to trust the future, especially when daily life and happenings and news and politics can be depressing and draining or downright sad. So today, I say, let’s focus on the future and what we can do right, well and good. Let’s believe in it.

Welcome Fall. Today is your day!
When the seasons change I usually notice the subtle difference in the world around me, including the new colors and the change in the breeze. Even though today was almost 90 degrees I could still feel that first day of Fall all around me in living color.
More than anything I heard the words of my dear teacher in my mind. “Notice the beauty” her words came back to me. “Focus on the beauty.”
She taught me a little about plants and flowers but mosllt she taught me the power of nature’s beauty. No wonder I felt her with me today as Mother Nature begins to dress up for the Fall Ball in her leaves of gold and red and bright orange.
Welcome Fall. I’m excited to see the beauty you bring!

Fall’s colors are popping all around me. On my drive home today I spotted pops of crimson red and canary yellow making their way to the tips of the trees lining the highway. It’s Fall and it’s leaf-peeping seeing in New England.
It’s a good time to fall back in love too… with your life, your dreams and your hear’s desires. Trust fall.

It’s a clear night after a beautiful day that felt almost like summer. But it’s not summer because it’s almost October which means it is time for the harvest. It is that time of year when we reap what we have sowed and enjoy the bounty of the year behind us.
As I look up into the clear night sky and listen to the crickets in the dark, I see the moon and the stars, and inside of that, I see dreams. Many, many dreams.
So look up and dream. Trust the night sky.
