JAMIE’S BLOG – YEAR 9 – DAY 255 & 256

trusting time
{trust}

I just did something I have never done before… slept on a redeye flight home without posting my blog. Then, I did something else I have never done before… landed at the airport without scrambling to do my blog before I grabbed my luggage and hopped in an UBER to go home.

It’s been a long week of work and while I sat exhausted on the plane in my JetBlue seat I decided not to fight the feeling of sleep. I did the same thing when I arrived home as I crawled into bed at 7am. I slept. Mostly because I was tired but also because I decided to trust.

I trusted that I would eventually post this blog when my body had proper rest. I decided that the world wouldn’t end because of one late blog post in almost ten years. And then I decided to do something really wild… post two days in one.

So here it is! The first double post, ever. I am trusting the timing of it all.

I will soon return to the airport to pick up a friend for a fun girls weekend and a drive to Vermont, so, here is the post for last night and tonight.

Maybe Trust is teaching me to be less rigid? Maybe Trust is asking me to lighten up? Or, maybe, Trust is just taking a timeout and a deep breath to remind me that time is precious so there is no need to hurry my Type A self?  Whatever it is, it is new. Which tells me my promise is working.

Trust me!
More tomorrow.
Jamie
