There are 45 days left of The Promise 365! Tonight I celebrate blending.
I just opened up my brand new Vitamix blender this week. I couldn’t be more excited about it and I also find it quite ironic. In my first year of blogging and my very first promise, I bought my first blender, an Oster. It didn’t work out so well, as you can read here. Now, in my last year of blogging I find myself with the blender of my dreams, the much dreamed of Vitamix.
I found it on sale (of course). Also, another point of irony and juxtaposition of Year 1 and Year 9 of this blog. I no longer have to make or break a promise when I want to shop or buy something. But the lesson will always be with me.
My first blender taught me the power of whole foods, green smoothies and raw cacao nibs. This blender is much more powerful, graceful and effective. I would like to think I am too, somehow, after spending the last nine years reflecting on life and love every single night.
If I have learned anything, it is this. We are all a blend of our promises and pursuits, success and strife, dreams and determination. So blend up something good!
