    My promise to me this year is keep creating my own vision. I promise now that I have walked, talked, quit, and committed, I have started my journey and I must not bend or sway. – although sometimes I really want to just stay home, sit on the floor and play with my son, eat popcorn, and watch tv, I must keep moving forward. I want to help other women to see, you can really do what you love, you deserve to be well and live a full and happy life, and that you can create a healthy, happy life for your children.

    My promise is to Love myself, especially my body! I was inspired by your Letters to your fat and skinny self, and wrote my own.

    I promise to reduce my life to the things that are valuable, and rid my life of the trash/garbage/baggage, that is blocking my path.

    Hi Jamie,
    I am fellow WOF and my “promise” started on my 53rd birthday 12 days ago. I am going to eat whole foods and nothing artificial for one year. I have 12 days. My promise is more about evolving and change toward a healthier me.

    I have let the circumstances in my life control me. I weigh 80 -100 pounds more then 15 years ago. For me it’s life or death. Sounds dramatic but being over weight interferes with all aspects of my life and self esteem. I could list a thousand ways, first and foremost starting with health.

    Thanks for inspiring me.

    Josie

    Jamie, you have inspired me! I have set a goal to live to be 100 (I am currently 38). In support of that goal, I have made 4 pledges to myself for this year, knowing that I need to be mindful of the long-term effects of my health, relationships, and finances:
    1. love and forgive completely every day;
    2. only eat food for which I know and understand the ingredients;
    3. purchase nothing new, unless it meets the 5-year quality test; and
    4. exercise in a manner that will allow me to be vital and feisty and ALIVE when I reach 100!

    I am looking forward to defining the specifics of these pledges throughout the year, taking baby steps in the right direction and reaping the rewards.

    Trying to spend money more frugally and less frivolously. I want to be more concerned with my own mind and spirit and less about material things.
