JAMIE’S BLOG – DAY 305 :: more joy, more peace, more presence

3 Nov
It is Day One of Meditation Nation! Actually, it’s just the next installment of the Chopra/Oprah meditation duo. And this one is a doozie! It’s all about the law of attraction for you Secret readers out there.

I just finished Day One and feel slightly loopy but relaxed. I was taking a dose of my OWN medicine (no pun intended).

Ironically, someone I love very much told me today that she is extremely stressed out and wants to calm down. So I recommended the 21-Day Meditation experience. It seemed like the perfect moment to share some “med-itation med-icine.”

So tonight I am sharing with you too. If you need a moment of zen-peace-calm try this.
You might find your place of chill or you just might attract what you want to you.

More joy?
More peace?
More “presence?”

More peak performance?
‘Tis The Season.

More tomorrow.
Lovemore,
Jamie

JAMIE’S BLOG – DAY 257 :: spontaneous wild blackberries

14 Sep

Today we hopped in the car, in the middle of 103-degree heat, and headed for the river. On a spontaneous blackberry hunt.

Let me just say this:  THERE. WILL. BE. JAM.
Sweet spontaneity!

More tomorrow.
Lovemore,

JAMIE’S BLOG – DAY 240 :: questions to answer p.4

28 Aug

It’s almost the end of the week ….bring on Friday!  Tonight, I’m sharing a few more powerful questions.

Here’s part 4 of sharing….

I’m sharing some questions from the book How The Best Leaders Lead. Here are tonight’s:

1. What goals would you set for yourself if you were guaranteed complete success?

2. What would you do if you were forced to take a month off and you had an unlimited budget?

The week is almost over. But I’ll keep sharing for one more day here, and of course, if you want The Book details are here.

More tomorrow.
Lovemore,
Jamie

{what would you do?}

Jamie’s BLOG – DAY 159 :: beauty quest

8 Jun

Today I decided to go look for beauty. It’s a bit like a walk in the park I suppose. I wasn’t sure what I would find but I knew it would be an adventure. So I begged Justin to come along and off we went.

Random Adventure + Beauty Mission = Beauty Quest.

Here’s what happened on my first Beauty Quest (more than I could have imagined!).

We found flowers…

And trees….

And the inside of trees…

And red roses….

And ducks kissing…

And baby geese learning to ruffle their feathers…

An ugly duckling that didn’t fit in… (But we know the end of that story!)

And a kind soul who gave us some bread so we could feed the birds too!

It was beautiful. A surprise. And a really quick, fast, easy way to add beauty to the end of the weekend.

Beauty Quest it.
I highly recommend it.

(Sometimes free is the best kind of fun.)

More tomorrow.
Lovemore,
Jamie

{what quest are you on?}

Jamie’s BLOG – DAY 156 :: home again, home again

5 Jun

Home again, home again, jiggitty jig! I am home again from my latest fill in Portland and my jugs are feeling full.

It’s hard to believe I had a mastectomy a month ago. But a month it has been. Two fills down. One more to go.

Tylenol tonight.

More tomorrow.
Lovemore,
Jamie

{sweet dreams}

Jamie’s BLOG – DAY 150 :: baby bell beauties

30 May

We ate sweet peas and raspberries from the garden today. Like one sweet pea and one raspberry each. But who’s counting?

Well, I am. I am back into my garden watch mode, counting every little thing poking up out of the ground (3 corn stalks) and budding (5 beans).

And growing — one tiny, baby, green bell pepper!

And then I whisper and sing. “Grow, sweet pepper! Grow!”

Does anyone else talk to their garden?

More tomorrow.
Lovemore,
Jamie

{whisper and sing}

Jamie’s BLOG – DAY 149 :: kale, kale, kale

29 May

Today I learned how to harvest kale. Okay, it’s not complicated. But I haven’t done it before.

Until now…

It came direct from the garden and we already have enough kale for a salad!

What a beautiful thing.

More tomorrow.
Lovemore,
Jamie

{spot something beautiful today?}

Jamie’s BLOG – DAY 123 :: beautiful rainbow moments

4 May

My year started out seeking peak performance. Now I am searching for beauty. I’m still pondering the recipe for my personal best, but I am slowly realizing that it can’t occur without a major appreciation for the minor moments.

Like this:

It’s a rainbow. But not just any rainbow. It’s the kind that comes after waiting for the rain to go away.

Sometimes the most beautiful moments are found after the storm. After being whipped by the wind and pelted by the rain. It may be the only way to appreciate the vibrant colors that appear against a grey sky.

After all:

“Everybody wants happiness nobody wants pain
but you can’t have a rainbow without a little rain.”
― Zion Lee

Signing off for the night, somewhere over the rainbow. Happy. Content. Full of appreciation for the minor moments of sharing a day with family, rain, beach combing, art crafting and rainbow chasing.

It just may be peak performance.

More tomorrow.
Lovemore,
Jamie
