JAMIE’S BLOG – YEAR 7 – KINDNESS  DAY 101 :: 4-letter word friday

14 Apr

Flies.

As in time.

It’s hard to believe we are already here. One hundred days behind us in the year of 2017. Where does the time go? My how it flies. And where exactly does it fly off to in the first place?

It reminds me that life is short.
And is there any other reason for us to be kind?

More tomorrow….
Lovemore,
Jamie

JAMIE’S BLOG – YEAR 7 – KINDNESS  DAY 62 :: kindness is the coolest

6 Mar

Reflecting

As I close in on the first 100 days of this year, I am beginning to reflect on Kindness, the intentional acts of kindness – kind. The first 100 days are always interesting in The Promise Process. They bring up issues, they bring up ideas, they send me off on tangents and adventures.

It really isn’t until October that the whole point of the year’s promise, the gift if you will, begins to surface. So that said – I have NO idea yet where this year is taking me. But I’m liking how Kindness feels inside of me.

In a way, Kindness is the coolest. (Thanks, Danelle Laporte!).

I think that is because we know what the opposite of kindness is, what it feels like, what it acts like, how it sounds — and how it stings.

Nothing feels better that love + respect + honor + thoughtfulness wrapped up in a fuzzy soft package. To me, that is what kindness feels like. At least on Day 62. Ask me on Day 365!

Kindness Challenge:
How can you make every act matter this week?
How would it impact your week?
How could it change your life?

More tomorrow….
Lovemore,
Jamie

Day 100: lovemore monday :: commitment

9 Apr

As you know, I entered this year determined to be fearless. But, I don’t want more fear or less in my life.  I want more love.  So I made up a new word, lovemore!   That’s why Lovemore Mondays are here.

Today’s Lovemore Monday is a love story about committment.

As in, 100 Days.

We are officially 100 days into the year.
Did it go fast for you?

Tonight as I look over my goals for the year that I made around New Year’s Eve I am amazed at what has happened and what has not …yet.

What I expected to discover was my depth of fear.
What I found was that I can jump into the water with sharks — as long as I have a strategy of how to get out of the water with sharks!

More than anything, I have discovered that I am really not afraid of much, but I do worry too much.

Starting out this year, I expected to find shopping elation after taking a 365-day break.

What I discovered is that I forgot just how to shop and it’s been overwhelming in many ways. (Good thing I have had the help of Holly Getty!)

And, I have to admit, I expected to find new ways to enjoy and love my body through exercise like running and hot yoga.

Instead, I have discovered something that seems so obvious now — my life-long issue with my blood, from childhood anemia to teenage cancer to adult poor circulation, all of which I am now addressing with acupuncture.

Surprisingly, this means I need to take a break from the intense exercise I love (like hot yoga) and treat myself with a little less strenuous exercise (like tai chi).

So far, I must report I have not fully found the meaning of life and love
…but I am getting closer, really close!

And, there are still 266 days left in this year called 2012.
There is still time.
There is still hope.

And, I will admit, with each chapter I read in my Abraham-Hicks books I feel closer to something that makes the most sense to my heart — and that is, the key to life is really as simple as JOY and FUN.

Joy and fun!
What could be better than that?

So, with the idea of JOY and FUN in my heart, I am unveiling my new commitment.
Lovemore Fearless T-shirts.

What could be a better reminder than wearing a mantra of LOVE?
Here’s the good news …you can have one too!

More on that soon…

Until then, here’s to the next 100 Days.
I’ll be right here with you.
