JAMIE’S BLOG – YEAR 8 – DAY 274 :: joy is a bubble bath

9 Oct

Sometimes you just need a good old fashioned bubble bath to relax into joy. Tonight, that was just the ticket! And my first bubble bath in our new place. A christening of sorts.

Joy is teaching me that the small moments are just as big as the big ones. Even in the form of tiny bubbles.

More tomorrow… Lovemore,

JAMIE’S BLOG – YEAR 7 – KINDNESS  DAY 143 :: 4-letter word friday

26 May

Today’s 4-letter word Friday is dedicated to that warm bubbly water. The bath. Sometimes there is nothing better than a Friday night bubble bath.

It is where I find some semblance of ease and poise and calm and grace. And that brings me to this: Self-Kindness. It feels stronger than self-care.

Self-care and self-compassion are wonderful, don’t get me wrong. But self-kindness feels deeper as if it soaks down to the core of my being instead of just a Band-Aid hovering over the top.

It is remembering to hold myself to a standard of love and kindness. And grace. Instead of perfection. Self-kindness is built out of love.

And the occasional bubble bath.

More tomorrow….

{happy friday}

JAMIE’S BLOG – YEAR 6 – YOGA DAY 325 :: epson salts

27 Nov

Day 325: Bathtime.

After a week of being on my feet I have succumbed to sitting down. In a bathtub. Nothing could feel more relaxing or rejuvenating. It’s kind of like yoga…. relaxing, stretching out, feeling good.

And now, I go do my favorite yoga pose… Shavasana.
Namaste, Bubble Bath. Namaste.

More tomorrow.

JAMIE’S BLOG – DAY 29 :: time lapse #bliss

29 Jan
It’s hard to believe that January is almost over. Where did the time go? I am reminded about the phenomenon known as “time flies when you’re having fun.” Or maybe better said, sheer bliss.

So, tonight I share a Pug and his bath. I don’t know why this feels significant, other than it reminds me of those moments when happiness comes from something as simple as warm water and bubbles.

Maybe sheer bliss is really being so dopey that we forget what time it is….
Then again, maybe it’s just bubble bath?

Ask the Pug.

More tomorrow.

 {does time fly when you have fun?}

JAMIE’S BLOG – DAY 8 :: blissful bubbles

8 Jan

Sometimes the small things are really the big things. Like the feel of soft cotton pajamas that are brand new and never been worn. Or the warmth of a hot bath and billions of bubbles inside the bath tub billowing all around your body.

Or breathing.
Without sneezing. Or hacking up a cough. Just a slow, deep and blissful breath of air without any pain. Easy breathing.

It’s amazing how big the small things are. It is even more amazing that I don’t always realize how amazing those things amazing things really are until I re-experience them all over again for the first time.

New Pajamas.
Bubble Bath.
Deep Breath.

More tomorrow.

 {what amazes you?}
