JAMIE’S BLOG – YEAR 9 – DAY 181 :: trust the thrill

30 Jun

It’s hard to believe that July is already here. We are almost halfway through this year of Trust. And, while I have yet to figure out exactly what it all means, I am sure that it will take me exactly where I need to go.

Until then, I am trusting the process and celebrating each day.

That’s the thrill of being alive!

Trust me!
More tomorrow.

JAMIE’S BLOG – YEAR 7 – KINDNESS  DAY 240 :: two months

28 Aug

Kind memories.

It was just two months ago today… and tonight I am taking in the memories. And take out! We celebrated our two month anniversary with Thai food and a movie.

Kindness comes in many forms – and celebrating the little anniversaries of life is one of them… even two months.

More tomorrow….

JAMIE’S BLOG – YEAR 7 – KINDNESS  DAY 44 :: love is kind

14 Feb

My kind of love.

In this year of kindness, I am shocked at a recent discovery. One that has been right in front of my nose. Right in front of my eyes. Right next to my side.

The man who brought me these flowers is an overflowing well of kindness.

Justin is a deep well of kindness. And he always remembers to celebrate his love for me on these days, when it counts, and when nobody else is counting.

To that, I say, kindness is alive and well.
And, love is kind.

Happy Valentine’s Day, kind soul.

JAMIE’S BLOG – DAY 295 :: hitting the road

24 Oct
It’s Friday! And that means we are hitting the road soon for a weekend celebration.

Mainly to celebrate Justin (who didn’t get a proper 40th birthday celebration because of my mastectomy). We are off to the Bridge School concert, something that is on Justin’s bucket list. Plus, if you haven’t already guessed, Pearl Jam will be playing. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate Justin!

Here’s the lineup:

  • Neil Young
  • Pearl Jam
  • Florence + The Machine
  • Brian Wilson
  • Tom Jones
  • Soundgarden
  • Norah Jones and Puss N Boots
  • Band of Horses
  • Pegi Young & The Survivors

Who will you celebrate this weekend?

More tomorrow.

 {who can you celebrate?}

Jamie’s BLOG – DAY 155 :: portland more than half full

4 Jun

Tonight I’m feeling full. We celebrated Portland and a big congrats to Joni and Drew for opening their Bottle & Bottega Portland studio!

We drank, ate, painted and raised money for a worthy charity, ACAP.

Of course I prefer to always see the bottle half full but tonight was certainly a full on celebration. Like being on top of a mountain you might say. Maybe even a Mt. Hood.

Welcome PDX! Congrats! Cheers! Clink! Click!

More tomorrow.

{congrats portland!}

2014 BLOG – DAY 84 :: happy birthday, GLORIA!

25 Mar

Today is an amazing day. Gloria Steinem turns eighty. All I can say is wow – I hope I look this good at 80!

Of course, what I really mean to say is what an amazing life. What an amazing woman. What an amazing leader, visionary, do-er and dreamer.

While I can’t get the song Gloria out of my mind, I also can’t help but wonder if she knows how many lives she has touched over 80 years.

Here’s to you, Gloria. Thank you for the wisdom and inspiration.
Happy Birthday.

Singing Gloria!

More tomorrow.

{who inspires you?}

BLOG – GIFT DAY 329 :: a month of inspiration :: miracles and roses

25 Nov

Today, in my month-long nod to inspiration, I share a rose.

In this week of gratefulness and gratitude I am reminded to count my blessings. Because while some things in life last longer than you can possibly imagine, others drift by with a blink of an eye.

I thought the growing season was over …like so long ago! I thought the last surprise rose in bloom had already passed us by.

It turns out I was wrong.
We have another pink rose in bloom, amongst the morning frost and the November cold.

And, so today, I celebrate more than a winter rose.
I celebrate miracles.

I am inspired by the every day kind of magical miracles blooming under my nose.  The ones with petals and the ones without.

Some occur in the moments right before the sun rises and my pups rise along with it. Others occur in a happy note, a wink, a laugh, a smile from a stranger, a knowing look, a nod, or a song.

Instead of waiting for a miracle I am reminded to stop, open my eyes, look around and smell the roses that abound.

It is, after all, the only way to recognize a miracle blooming right under your nose.

More tomorrow.
Lovemore {fearless!}

{celebrate your miracles}

BLOG – GIFT DAY 269 :: 1,000 blog posts!

26 Sep

Today is the day… one THOUSAND blog posts. At least that’s what Word Press says about this little here blog.

According to my math I have already messed up my day count this year — edit noted. Today is day 269. Which means this blog started EXACTLY 1,000 days ago.

I can hardly believe I have written a blog every single day since making my first promise.

In the process, I have:
– tried every diet possible
– not shopped for an entire year
– backed out of a brazilian bikini wax
– moved all over the east coast
– traveled to Mexico, Paris and almost everywhere in between
– moved to the west coast
– celebrated three birthdays
– faced my fear
– lost my thyroid
– gained a lovemore+fearless attitude

– found YOU!

This blog started out for me.
But it’s become a little nightly love note to you.

So, here’s to you!
1,000 days later.

Sometimes I think my sheer determination to write every night is downright crazy. Other times I think it’s ridiculous. Still other days it makes me feel pretty proud of myself.

The truth is, I haven’t done any of this without a lot of support from SO many people.

And that includes YOU!
Thank you.

This isn’t a one woman show over here — it’s network, a web if you will, of many.  And isn’t everything?

But tonight, on the night of a goal that I never really ever thought I would celebrate (1,000 blog posts!!!), I would like to thank the man who cheers me on privately and publicly everyday.

Thank you Justin.
For being by my side for more than 1,000 days and in my heart forever and always.

More tomorrow.
Lovemore {fearless}

{what goal to you want to celebrate?}
