JAMIE’S BLOG – DAY 84 :: swimming with dolphins

25 Mar
What’s on your bucket list?

Part of my promise this year is to explore bliss, and in my quest for bliss I am starting a new series called #LoveMoreDoMore Sundays. It’s my way of connecting with people who are doing good things in life, love and business, and sharing it with you.

This Sunday will be the debut program and it’s all about dolphins.

My friend Amy will be leading a trip to Bimini later this year and I can’t wait to interview her to learn more about this adventure. I hope you tune in on Sunday!

If you were to create Bliss List what would be on  it?
If your bliss could take you anywhere, where would you go?

More tomorrow.

Day 87: life’s a beach

27 Mar

Today I packed my bag, took the afternoon off and headed to the beach.

With our dear friend, Karen, in town I had the perfect reason (excuse!) to go sit on Naple’s sandy beach and soak in the sun.

As we sat on the beach, dripping with sweat in the sweltering 80-degree sun, I started daydreaming by making plans in my head for tomorrow’s breakfast. Yummy omelets, fresh fruit and a perfect view overlooking the water popped into my head.

I began telling Karen about this fabulous restaurant just down the beach where you can sit outside and enjoy breakfast, and if you’re really lucky, see dolphins jumping in the Gulf.

Just then, Karen pointed at the water and said, “Aren’t those dolphins?”

“Well, yes.  Those are dolphins,” I said, confirming the fins breaking in the water in front of us.

As I shook my head in amazement at the dolphins impeccable timing and manifestation, I thought, “I guess we don’t need to go out for breakfast in the morning since the dolphins are right here, right now.”

There have been times in my life where this sort of occurrence seemed ironic, random, or otherwise uncanny.

I used to question it.
But, I don’t anymore.

Because, life really is a beach, as long as you want it to be.

And, I’ve found, that’s right about the time that “dolphins” show up, jump for joy and remind me how to play in the water.

By the way, I jumped in — three times!
Now, that’s progress.
