JAMIE’S BLOG – YEAR 8 – DAY 137 :: surviving fake news

15 May
{clear}

I was thinking a lot today about how to avoid bad news, fake news, and any barrage of negativity. I decided the best course is always to keep to your vision, stay focused on the end game and stay clear — as we know, Mama Sling once told me, “the clearest one wins.”

Then, of course, there is always love, beauty, joy and …chocolate. It’s National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day so by all means, go celebrate. I’ve always thought every restaurant should offer small, mini chocolate chip cookies as a dessert option. Warm. Right off the sheet. Why not? I would order it every single time. Maybe that’s the solution to a bad news cycle …a little bit of joy and a lot of chocolate chip cookies.

So here’s to love, joy, beauty, and chocolate chip cookies.
More tomorrow…

Lovemore,
Jamie

JAMIE’S BLOG – YEAR 8 – DAY 79 :: hold on

22 Mar
{to your joy}

There was a little more bad news today in the world. Reports. Updates. News Flash. Maybe some fake news, I don’t know. Really, it’s hard to tell the difference sometimes.

But, I do know this: it takes more courage to hold onto your joy than to let bad news take it away from you.

It may be the most courageous act we ever make.
Hold onto your joy.

More tomorrow…

Lovemore,
Jamie
