Jamie’s BLOG – DAY 156 :: home again, home again

5 Jun

Home again, home again, jiggitty jig! I am home again from my latest fill in Portland and my jugs are feeling full.

It’s hard to believe I had a mastectomy a month ago. But a month it has been. Two fills down. One more to go.

Tylenol tonight.

More tomorrow.
Lovemore,
Jamie

Day 6: f*ing friday :: fill

6 Jan

TGIF.
F*ing Fridays are back!
And, they will continue to occur on Friday. I mentioned some of my favorite F words back on Day 5 in Year 1, including: Fearless, Fabulous, Fine, Fun, Faith, Freedom, Forgiveness, to name a Few.

Last week I dove into the word Finale.

Today’s F*ing Friday is dedicated to the word:
Fill.

As in, fill my prescription.

Because I am officially S.I.C.K. and T.I.R.E.D.
Just woke up from NyQuil Nap #1 and am heading into #2.

I put off going to the doctor’s office until I knew I was officially under the weather.  After two bottles of cough syrup and no remedy, I think I qualify. [cough :: cough]

My cold has turned into a hacking cough, one that stops people in their tracks and sends a look in my direction like I’m a walking petri dish. It also solicits stares of “Ew! Gross!”

I know this because I waited at Walgreen’s for my prescription to be filled.

So this “Ew! Gross!” individual is hunkered down in blankets, sweating off a fever and just downed two antibiotics that start with the letter Z.  I don’t know the name of the medicine because I didn’t take the time to read it.  Heck, I couldn’t even get the wrapping off of it and had to hand the encased capsules over to Justin who has more able-bodied fingers.

I wish I had better news to report on this first F*ing Friday of the year, but, hey, I’m just glad I can still type with NyQuil in my system.

In fact, I don’t even know if that’s how to spell NyQuil, but I’m so tired I’m not going to look it up.  Guess that means I’m over one nasty bug — the perfectionism one.

Okay. Me go sleepy.
See you tomorrow.
