JAMIE’S BLOG – YEAR 7 – KINDNESS  DAY 67 :: karma kindness

11 Mar

The loop.

This passage about Karma caught my eye tonight in a book:

It has me thinking about kindness, and specifically, the KARMA of KINDNESS. If our intentional acts of kindness are created and create our life, then wouldn’t they also draw more intentional acts of kindness our way?

I have a feeling as the year unfolds I will learn more, see more, experience more. Until then… I’m watching out for my karma and my kindness.

More tomorrow….

JAMIE’S BLOG – DAY 330 :: best day ever

28 Nov

This morning my coffee cup predicted my day. It said, “Best Day Ever” right on top of the lid.

And I think that’s pretty powerful. Starting the day off with a strong intention. Even if it comes from the top of my coffee cup instead the top of my head.

Still powerful. And positive.

Today I also read more of the book The Seat of the Soul. It is quite literally blowing my mind. One quote at a time. Today a line jumped off the page right out at me:

“Where your attention goes, you go.”

It sums up the whole point of this promise, and every promise I have ever made. What I intend I live. What I promise comes true (even if it’s not the exact path I expect.)

I know this to be real in the physical world too. In basketball, where your eyes go the ball goes. In driving, where your hands move go the car goes.  Where your attention goes, you go.  So it shouldn’t surprise me that it’s a universal rule.

And that makes me wonder…
Why not start every day with a focus and intention that it’s going to be good? Even great. Maybe even …the…Best. Day. Ever.

More tomorrow.

P.S. See you Sunday. If you are curious about how to find more universal laws and the power of intention you will find my next peak performance interview quite interesting.  Click here to learn more.

Day 69: f*ing friday :: freedom

9 Mar

F*ing Fridays are back!
And, they will continue to occur on Friday. I mentioned some of my favorite F words back on Day 5 in Year 1, including: Fearless, Fabulous, Fine, Fun, Faith, Freedom, Forgiveness, to name a Few.

Last week I dove into the words Fear of Fire.

Today’s F*ing Friday is dedicated to the word:

As in, the power of a jar.

This week I made a tiny breakthrough of the arachnophobic kind.

As I sat on the couch typing away on my computer I saw something move out of the corner of my eye.

The reptilian part of my brain screamed “SPIDER!”

My body and limbs began moving, searching for a place to run and hide.

My head diplomaticallly stepped in and calmly suggested I find a nice kleenex and toilet to flush and dispose of the evidence.

But, then my heart took over and halted everything.  She grabbed a jar, gently nudged the spider into it with the lid, shut it tightly — and then promptly ran it outside.

As I gingerly shook the jar and dumped the little arachnid onto the ground  I felt a foreign feeling.

I just saved a spider’s life.

Instead of smushing a spider to it’s death, I let it go free.
It was such a tiny move, but felt like such a huge step forward.

Who knows, maybe it cleared some karma or sent a good vibration out into the world?

But, I do know this:
I conquered a huge f*ing fear with just a teeny, tiny move.

And, I go to bed tonight with a light heart, knowing there will be another day to be lived. Indeed, another web to be weaved.
