JAMIE’S BLOG – YEAR 6 – YOGA DAY 359 :: letters to santa

24 Dec

Day 359: And Whitney.
It’s Christmas Eve. And I’m loving the letters to Santa.

And the records we are playing from days gone by — Huey Louis and The New, Lionel Richie, Footloose, Whitney Houston.

We just woke up all the kids. Because we adults are being too loud. There is a little wine involved – but it at least has 13 essential minerals – so Merry Christmas everyone!

No Yoga Shred tonight! But there will be a downward dog or two.
You can still join the Shred course here.
Namaste, Christmas Eve. Namaste.

More tomorrow.

JAMIE’S BLOG – DAY 354 :: merry kindness

23 Dec

Peak performance moment of the day?  This pup.

He’s bigger than me. His name is Gibbs and he’s all puppy even though he is twice the size of my dogs. He’s my father’s standard poodle (read LARGE), which makes him kind of a brother-pup to me I guess.

Regardless, he has brightened this trip home with his energy, kindness, love and affection. And pure energy.  Note the blurry photo.

And that reminds me:
‘Tis the season to love more and share more affection along with gobs of human (or dog) kindness.

More tomorrow.

Day 357: 12 days of christmas :: twas the night before christmas

24 Dec

Twas the night before Christmas,
and all through the house…

There were at least four creatures stirring,
(hoping to catch some turkey before it hit the floor.)

We are nestled in pajamas all ready for bed,
While visions of Iron Man on blue ray,
dance through all the boys’ heads.

Snow is on the way.
The shopping is all done.
Presents are opened.
Songs have been sung.

Some gifts came from a boyfriend
In the form of a (right hand) ring
To replace the one that broke last year
That belonged to Mama Sling.

The holiday just started,
And now it is almost over.
But the best is yet to come,
Because it is the memories we’ll savor.

Gone will be the tree,
Off will melt the snow.
Down will come the wreaths,
A wassailing we won’t go.

But right now it is Christmas Eve,
A very special holiday.
So how appropriate it should be,
That it is also Lovemore Monday.

And that’s why…
I. Love. It.

Merry Christmas to you and yours.
(And …to all a good night!)
