JAMIE’S BLOG – YEAR 9 take a moment – 4 days to go

27 Dec

There are 4 days left of The Promise 365, and all I can think is how much time flies. So much happens in a week, a month, a year, and almost a decade. Time seems to have sped up and yet, the daily motion of taking a moment and writing a blog makes time stand still. If only for a few minutes. And I highly recommend it.

If I could wrap up all the experiences of this blogging adventure I would say this: Take a moment to feel the moment.

Trust me!
More tomorrow.Jamie

JAMIE’S BLOG – DAY 299 :: friday’s bliss

30 Oct

Today’s bliss…. this. Simply this… Friday night.
Every night I sit and think. What is the most profound, important thought coming to my mind as I write. What should I share on this blog?

And tonight… I have this. Friday. It’s FriDAY! I love Fridays… feel good Fridays!

But the secret to all that is simply this. This moment. This present moment. This second of really being alive, feeling alive, just being present.

Today, I have signed my name to two different cards for two different people in my life going through medical procedures. And, the only silver lining to that is the reminder of this…. THIS present moment.

Happy blissful Friday.
Stay present.

More tomorrow.

{can you feel it?}

JAMIE’S BLOG – DAY 262 :: PJ moments

24 Sep

Bliss moment of the day: comfy pajamas.

I don’t know if it’s thoughts of Christmas morning…
Or snuggling under the covers…
Maybe it’s the comfort from Mama Sling when I was a child sick in bed…
Or pillow fights from teenage pajama parties…
Possibly going to class in college with only a care for comfort…
Or sleeping in on Saturday mornings…

Whatever it is …. I LOVE MY PAJAMAS!

So tonight, I end this day with a thought of PJ’s.
And there seems to be promise in that.

More tomorrow.

{night night?}

JAMIE’S BLOG – DAY 129 :: butterfly flyby

14 May
I saw her move out of the corner of my eye. She was fluttering through the front yard, so I grabbed my camera and slowly moved out the front door. I didn’t want her to see me but I wanted to catch her.

And, as she slowly stopped on the purple rhododendron…  I took my shot.

It was a moment of pure bliss. Just me and a butterfly in the front yard sitting still for a moment.

And maybe that’s the point of this year of bliss?
Taking some time to stop, watch, wait, listen and capture the moment.
Before it flies by.

More tomorrow.
