JAMIE’S BLOG – YEAR 9 – DAY 182 :: trust the bouquet in your heart

1 Jul

Trust is a tricky thing. It requires you to be patient. I’m not very good at that part of life. I have a need to know, a question to be asked and an action to take. But, this year, trust is making me wait patiently.

It’s all for a good thing, the things that matter most of course. And it makes me realize that timing is everything but patience is a virtue. I never really understood why patience was a virtuous thing, it seemed like a rule to me.

I have been told to, “be patient” more than once. And yet, I am learning when we listen to the bouquet in our heart it requires a perfectly orchestrated symphony of events to bloom and unfold. So yes, I guess I can be patient. And trust.

Trust me!
More tomorrow.

JAMIE’S BLOG – YEAR 6 – YOGA DAY 342 :: hurry up

7 Dec

Day 342: The lesson.

Oh yoga. You keep teaching me.
Tonight. It was patience.

As I sped to get to yoga and almost pulled out in front of another car, and scared myself and probably the other passengers, it didn’t even occur to me that I was SPEEDING to SLOW down.

Not until I sat down on my mat and closed my eyes. And then I realized how completely ridiculous the whole scenario was. Speeding up, crossing traffic, going too fast just to sit my ass down, close my eyes and breathe.

They say awareness is the first step. How ironic.
Namaste, Speed Bumps. Namaste.

More tomorrow.
