JAMIE’S BLOG – YEAR 6 – YOGA DAY 108 :: sharing sunset

18 Apr

Day 108: Beauty.

I love beauty. And I love living in a beautiful place. A place that takes my breath away, really. And tonight, Mother Nature put on a spring show.

One that reminds me to breath, to relax, to sit, to watch, to be.

Inspiring, really.
Maybe that’s what this year of yoga wants me to know? To live with beauty and inspiration. To breath, to relax, to sit, to watch, to be.

We’ll find out….

More tomorrow.
Lovemore,
Jamie

JAMIE’S BLOG – YEAR 6 – YOGA DAY 89 :: a little light goes a long way

30 Mar

Day 89: Calm waters.

Since we moved to the PNC I have never seen the water this calm in the bay. So, this morning as I walked towards the smell of coffee (Woods Coffee on the boardwalk) I had to stop and take in the view. And some photos too.

Yoga is up next… but first, some pretty blue photos.

More tomorrow.
Lovemore,
Jamie

JAMIE’S BLOG – DAY 163 :: train photos and visual bliss

17 Jun
Just some photos (as promised!) from my train ride yesterday…

And not to be left out… the smallest train station I have ever seen!

Over fields, over mountains, over the sea…

It was visual bliss!

More tomorrow.
Lovemore,
Jamie

JAMIE’S BLOG – DAY 96 :: surprise simple pleasures

7 Apr
The photos arrived today!  My cousin sent me the photos of my Mama Sling’s wedding day that she happened to find going through some old photo books.

They bring me such JOY! And it has me thinking about simple bliss. The tiny things that bring me so much happiness.

I have to admit, it’s hard to remember the simple pleasures of the everyday when my mind is caught up in trying to figure out the complex measures (and stress) of the everyday.

Maybe that is the lesson of this year… that bliss is always just a photograph away. Or a ray of sunshine, or flower blooming, or child laughing.

It’s all here.
Already.

More tomorrow.
Lovemore,
Jamie

BLOG – GIFT DAY 249 :: will you share your potato salad?

8 Sep

We sorted through old photos today.
And found this gem.

It’s Justin and his sister Jill circa 1970 something. ADORABLE!

I can’t stop smiling. It’s just SO cute.

There’s something about old family photos that are so precious, special, adorable, unforgettable, magical. And there’s something that photos say much louder than words . . .  the time, the space, the clothes, the colors, the feel, that precious moment of a time gone by.

I read something in a magazine today (I think it was Good Housekeeping) that said happy families have more family photos displayed around their house.

The reasoning is that we tend to dwell on happier moments if we have reminders of those moments around us. And I agree.

Somehow photos turn into THE memory for me. As time goes by I remember the photo more than the actual moment.

And that’s okay. Because photos become carved into memory, burnt into my soul, forever engraved upon the personal book of history we call family.

Speaking of family….
What do I have to do to get the recipe to this secret family recipe?

Jaynane made this Davis Family Potato Salad today and I think it might be the BEST POTATO SALAD I have ever tasted!

Seriously.
I’m pleading for the recipe.

Speaking of recipes… send my your best secret zucchini recipes! I can’t wait to taste.

More tomorrow.
Lovemore {fearless}
