JAMIE’S BLOG – YEAR 8 – DAY 33 :: study joy

2 Feb
{good vibrations}

I find myself studying joy this year… in my promise of JOY. So how ironic that I would find myself getting so much joy out of the Study Vibes channel on Spotify.

In my heart of hearts, I am a student. Of Life. Marketing. Business. Health. Spirit. Love. Leadership. Goals. Miracles. Magic.

I have always been a student at heart. Maybe the sounds of Study Vibes are just what I need to fully experience this promise of joy. The vibration of joy is calling to me.

No matter what happens, I do know one thing — this year will teach me something. Who knows what yet? I’m sure I will soon find out.

Until then… I am listening with my study ears on.

What are you studying?

More tomorrow…

JAMIE’S BLOG – DAY 133 :: bliss-full tunes

18 May

Bliss alert. I found a new station on Spotify today… of course it’s already been discovered by 17,000+ other people ….but ….it seems we find things in life when we are ready for them. And I was… just as I decided to take an adventure on the treadmill today.

So, tonight, I present Follow Your Bliss playlist.

Enjoy following your bliss (or a song list!).

More tomorrow.

JAMIE’S BLOG – DAY 63 :: bang bang pop pop

4 Mar
No strawberry pancakes this morning.

Justin actually woke up and asked, “Who is going to make me pancakes?” He was looking directly at me. I guess he had a point.

But, I did find a few “good” reasons to feel “good” today: I went back to Pilates — first time in over a month! My body is aching but it was worth it. Funny how so many things that hurt in the moment are best for the long run.

And I also found a new favorite song as I worked over my computer:
Bang Pop by Free Energy.
Overheard on my Spotify channel Ready For The Day.

Highly recommend. It’s catchy. Fun. Poppy. But it gets my head bouncing as I get ready to work… even without strawberry pancakes.

Bang. Bang. Pop. Pop.

More tomorrow.

2014 BLOG – DAY 70 :: songs to make you feel alive

11 Mar

So, do you need something to whistle to?

I recommend this beat-thumping, lip-whistling tune from Michael Franti. I am course late to the party, it came out last year, but I love it!

And, it couldn’t come at a better time. They are going to insert needles into my boob in about twelve hours.

Hump Day just became Bump Day.

That’s because my breasts are so small they are barely bumps, and my sister teased me mercilessly about it growing up. In a way that only a big sister with big breasts can do.

I think my bumps were also referred to as mosquito bites. As in, “Do you need a Band-Aid for that?”

I do love my small boobs. They are so convenient for yoga class and were an asset for running up and down the basketball court.

But I have to admit, I have briefly dreamed of a life with really big breasts. What would it be like to swing them to and fro? I don’t know…

But I know this. My sister informed me last week that her breasts have increased in size with age in the last few years. Since we don’t live in close proximity to each other I can’t confirm this as a scientific fact, but I can say this: there is hope that mine might grow too!

Regardless, I am happy with my two little bumps. They have served me well and I expect much more from them.

So… I am singing this song to remind each of them that they are alive (before they get drilled with a needle tomorrow)!

In the words of Mr. Franti:

Life sound like
I’m alive! I’m alive! I’m alive!
I’m alive! I’m alive! I’m alive!
This is what is sounds like
Ohhhhhhhhhhhh I’m Alive!

Need more tunes to make you feel alive?

More tomorrow.
