JAMIE’S BLOG – YEAR 6 – YOGA DAY 86 :: spring was here

27 Mar

Day 86: Rainy days.

Yesterday was so Springy! And today was, well, not. But I did find what might be my new favorite coffee shop. Woods Coffee. Not in the woods however, this place is overlooking the harbor.

It hangs out on the boardwalk and pier overlooking Bellingham Bay. And while I had to walk through pelting rain to get there, it was worth the trip.

Even though I was missing the warm, spring sunshine, there’s something so purely calming about cozying up to a fire after being out in the cold.

I suppose that’s the power of contrast. Regardless, I am ready to spring forward into that sunshine wherever she may be…now, on to yoga…

More tomorrow.

Jamie

JAMIE’S BLOG – DAY 40 :: blooming

9 Feb
This girl is going to brush her teeth and go to bed. Soooooo tired tonight.
But before I hit the sweet dreams sack I want to share a glimpse of hope, a blossom on the tree outside my office!

Spring is coming….. how blissful.

More tomorrow.
Lovemore,
Jamie

JAMIE’S BLOG – DAY 35 :: it’s cold in texas

4 Feb
Welcome to Texas! It’s cold here tonight but it’s supposed to heat up this weekend. Which I will enjoy with a big scoop of bliss! Not for the warm weather but for spending time with friends. I can hardly wait … just to be a little silly and a lot relaxed.

It is one of the blessings of old friends that you can afford to be stupid with them.
– Ralph Waldo Emerson

It’s cold in Texas tonight but it’s all warm in my heart!

More tomorrow.
Lovemore,
Jamie

Day 86: poke me, i may be dreaming

26 Mar

Today was my fourth week of acupuncture and I think I have experienced a mini-breakthrough.

My hands and feet which have previously been compared to icebergs and Antarctica, are starting to melt.

I know this because as I jetted around on a plane last week, my toes actually remained intact.  Instead of freezing at 30,000 feet my toes actually stayed on my feet!

Today, as my acupuncturist asked me about my body and any changes, I realized that I have made progress.

I am starting to heat up.
And, that makes me feel warm all over.
