JAMIE’S BLOG – YEAR 9 – DAY 97 :: the energy of trust

8 Apr

{trust}

We are watching the final minutes of the Final Four Championship game. the ball has changed hands and the lead has changed sides many times. It makes me think about the energy behind taking the lead, the energy behind staying focused to stay in the game, and the energy it takes to win.

Feel the energy.
Be the energy.
FInd the energy.
and…

Trust the energy of winning.

Trust me!
More tomorrow.

Lovemore,
Jamie

JAMIE’S BLOG – YEAR 9 – DAY 27 :: trust is holding onto your dream

27 Jan

{trust}

We are watching the SAG awards tonight on TV and I keep hearing the same theme over and over again… hold onto your dream. It makes me think about trust. The trust it takes to follow your dream even when all the odds are against you.

There are 160,000 actors in SAG and only a handful of winners. It takes great focus, vision and a mess of luck to make it in the winner’s circle. But I suppose, the real winners are those that go after their dreams. Those who pursue. Those who continue on, even when they take a job at Trader Joes (Geoffry Owens).

My point is, trust can only come from within. It is not given and it is not won.

So here’s to trusting your dreams, whatever they may be.
Wherever they may take you.

Lovemore,
Jamie

JAMIE’S BLOG – YEAR 8 – DAY 291 :: joy is winning

28 Oct

{world series}

Oh, joy! The Red Sox are World Series Champs! And it feels so good.

The best part of winning is not losing. It’s so joyful to win when you know what it feels like to lose. So here’s to the World Champion Red Sox!

I remember when they couldn’t win a game. I remember when they were on the losing end of the stick…. for decades. And, I remember the thrill and the joy of breaking the curse and reclaiming their status as winners.

I felt that same thrill again tonight. It must be the joy reflex.

Joy is remembering where you came from, celebrating what you’ve accomplished, and always looking forward to next time.

More tomorrow… Lovemore,
Jamie

JAMIE’S BLOG – YEAR 6 – YOGA DAY 38 :: winning

7 Feb

Day 38. Mama Sling.

Tonight, the Denver Broncos won Superbowl 50. Mama Sling would have been happy.

Very happy.

So much so, my father and sister both texted me after the game saying just as much. Which I think is so perfect – like Mama Sling was right there watching the game with all of us.

And that feels like winning to me (even if it’s not the team I wanted to go to the big game).

To be honest, I would have my team lose if it meant seeing my mom again, cheering on her team, squealing with those high pitched giggles, scolding John Elway and then cheering him on again, all the while holding her breath for the final game-winning kick.

Of course, tonight’s game wasn’t quite that dramatic. There were more flags than footballs (certainly more penalties than touchdowns). But the image of my mother holding her breath, squealing, cheering and laughing with glee came back to me all the same. Like she was right here. In so many ways she was. Is. Will continue to be.

Because we never really lose what we think we have lost.
And maybe that’s the point of this big old silly game we all play anyway.

P.S. I did my yoga 😉

More tomorrow.
Lovemore,
Jamie

2014 BLOG – DAY 33 :: the power of #12

2 Feb

Before I down some NyQuil the power of winning is on my mind.

And #12.
Where we just came from #12 meant winning in the form of Tom Brady. Now, in the Pacific Northwest, #12 means something else.

The Twelfth Man.

Tonight, it also meant an incredibly boring game but a really amazing win.

And, I believe no matter the team or the coast the fans do make a difference.

I’ve written about this before. It’s based on The Joy of Sox.

The Joy of Sox describes the power of invisible forces, energy and fans. You can read more here. Need more proof, check out this video on metronomes syncing.

I might be sneezing and coughing but my heart goes out to all the Seahawks fans.
Here’s to #12 for 2014.

(And may 2015 be in favor of Tom Brady and The Pats.)

More tomorrow.
Lovemore {fearless}
Jamie

{do you believe in the power of fans?}

Congratulations Seattle!
